"Nothing happens until something moves."
-Albert Einstein
My passion is engineering. I have a B.S. in Civil Engineering with emphasis on Structural Engineering from Trine University (former Tri-State University). I currently work as a Project Engineer at Barton Malow Company, and have been working in multidisciplinary engineering fields for over 3 years now. My background in engineering and construction has exposed me to smaller residential to large government projects. My experience with AutoCAD / Civil 3D has given me a practical understanding of each design phase and how things will be constructed on the field. I've also gained an incredible amount of knowledge as a field inspector, working daily with project coordinators and contractors to ensure the best quality product is constructed. I see engineering as a venue to express creativity in solving problems. However being in-tune with feasibility in the field has allowed me to see the 30,000 ft. view.
I am not afraid of the unfamiliar. This has proven to be instrumental in a competitive and evolving industry.
I look at each day-to-day (routine) task as a new learning opportunity. My career is at full throttle, and I won't be tapping on the brake anytime soon. I anticipate many years of challenging and complex problems to solve at Barton Malow, and am committed to helping the company achieve its goals. I continually network with professionals in the field to stay abreast of new technologies and best practices. Professionals that are not just passionate, but informed.
I want to become significant in my field.
